Is “conversational marketing” the next fad in marketing?

Anyone here with any experience with this and real results?

I keep stumbling upon the concept of "conversational marketing" and the idea of killing emails and forms as a lead generation. Anyone here with any experience with this and real results?

I LOVE Drift’s marketing and overall go to market approach. There are a ton of insights online from their CEO, David Cancel and VP of Marketing, Dave Gebhardt. These guys know what they’re doing and clearly have figured out how to scale a SaaS company. I do desperately want to believe conversational marketing works, but my experience thus far with chatbots are low quality leads outside our Ideal Customer Profile. I would love to hear alternative views on this and hopefully, be proven wrong as the concept makes total sense!

We just got started with it – got sold on with the “real-time response” for visitors and the quicker leads qualification. So instead of going through a bunch of steps before talking to a sales rep, your prospects can be qualified and sent to sales directly—or even invited to purchase right away (depending on what you sell). I will follow-up with results when we’re further into the analysis. For now, it is definitely worth giving it a try! If I’m not wrong, Drift has a free trial option, so why not give it a go?
